• Usage data such as pages viewed and features used.
• IP address, access times, and error logs.

Information from Third Parties

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture. We also receive limited account status information from Stripe (e.g., whether your account can receive payouts).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the Service — account management, transactions, trades, and communication between users.
• Process payments and seller payouts through Stripe.
• Share shipping addresses between buyers and sellers to complete transactions.
• Detect and prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.
• Send transaction notifications and platform announcements.
• Improve the Service and develop new features.
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including tax reporting.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for targeted advertising.

3. How We Share Your Information

With Other Users

When you transact on J&H Vault, relevant information (names, shipping addresses, tracking numbers) is shared between the buyer and seller or trade partners as needed to complete the transaction. Your display name, profile photo, reviews, and listed items are publicly visible.

With Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party providers for payment processing (Stripe), authentication (Google), hosting, data storage, and content delivery. These providers only access your data as needed to perform services on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it.

For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of J&H Vault, our users, or the public.

Business Transfers

If J&H Vault is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information as follows:

• Account data — Until you delete your account.
• Transaction records — 7 years (legal, tax, and dispute purposes).
• Listing content — 2 years after sale or expiry.
• Server logs — Up to 90 days.

After account deletion, we may retain certain information as required by law or to prevent fraud and enforce our agreements.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and functional cookies to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or social media pixels. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Upon account deletion, your profile and listings will be removed. Transaction records may be retained as described above. Reviews may be anonymized but not deleted.

California (CCPA): You may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold, request deletion, and opt out of data sales — though we do not sell your data. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

8. International Users

J&H Vault is operated from North America. By using the Service, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in the United States or Canada, which may have different data protection laws than your country.
